Swimming in the south of Lake Zeller
If you want to spend a relaxing day around Lake Zeller or just refresh yourself after an alpine hike, there are several options for bathing. An easily accessible swim is Strandbad Erlberg at the very southeastern end of the lake. There are nice views from the swimming pool, but it takes a long time before you work your way into at least a little deeper water
Meadow by the water
The swimming pool can be reached by a road leading to the eastern edge of the lake. There is a large parking lot and on a nice summer day it can be a problem to park in the middle of the afternoon. There is also a restaurant and a large grassy meadow. There is not much shade, so most visitors bring parasols
Artificial pier at the entrance to the water
Since there is a very small depth, there is a fairly long floating pier
View from the pier
Looking back at the swimming pool. To the left you can see the restaurant building, which is besieged by thirsty and hungry visitors
Paddling pool
Even after crossing the pier, there is water under the belt, so an ideal swimming pool if you have small children, it will be difficult to drown here. If you want to swim, you have to continue a few tens of meters further
View of the Kitzsteinhorn
Swimming is not 100%, but the views of the Alps are nice
View of Zell am See
Zell am See is as the crow flies about two kilometers from you across the lake
Refreshment
The menu in the restaurant is such a classic swimming pool – prices similar to those in Kaprun or Zell
