Stok mountain range is located south of the Indus valley, right across the main town of Ladakh – Leh. The highest mountain is Stok Kangri (6,153m above sea level), which is probably the most famous mountain in Ladakh. The southern part of the mountain range is bordered by the Markha River. The mountain range is about 90 kilometers long and is famous for its color. You will find here completely red or orange slopes and weathered rocks
