Podyjí National Park is the youngest and smallest national park in the Czech Republic. The Thayatal NP is connected to the Lower Austrian side. It offers a total of 76 km of marked hiking trails. Due to the protection of the unique environment of Podyjí, the most valuable sites are accessible only when accompanied by a guide (forest complex Braitava, which is almost primeval in nature, and especially the best preserved and least affected river valley in the Czech republic – the Dyje canyon
