In Marmaris there are not so significant monuments. The castle and the surrounding old town are interesting. You can also go to the ancient ruins of Knidos or to Dalyan for the Lycian monument Kaunos.

There are several mosques in like every Turkish city. However, none is exceptional. The most famous is Hacı Salih Efecik Cami.

The marina in Marmaris is one of the largest in the entire Mediterranean. Thanks to its good location and depth, huge cruise ships can also moor here.
