Mustang trek5: Easy half-day trip from the capital of the Kingdom of Lo to the village Tsarang, beautiful place with Buddhist monastery, old fortress and breathtaking scenery all around.

We leave Lo Manthang in the morning and get to the pass Lo in a gradual ascent. From here follows comfortable and broad path that descents along deeply cut riverbed.

In the distance we can see the steep walls, below which are flowing unstable waters of Kali Gandaki.
Trucks banned entry
Goods and food is supplied to Lo Manthang mainly thanks to paved road from neighboring Tibet. From the south is the supply by cars still complicated. Therefore traditional means of transport are used more.

Only the notch of Charang Khola river separates us from Tsarang. We look towards Ghar Gumba where we were two days ago.

We are going down to the river – the final ascent to the village Tsarang is ahead of us.

Comfortable and not demanding stage of our journey through the Upper Mustang soon brings us to today’s destination.
In the streets of Tsarang
Unlike Lo Manthang seems Tsarang surprisingly quiet place. Maybe we were lucky, but today we're the only tourists.
