Ancient Knidos lies on the western end of the peninsula Datça. Thanks to the massive earthquake that damaged the original town, there are only small remnants of its former glory – the ruins of the ancient theater and a few pillars. Interestingly, the remains of the town can be found on the nearby beaches – e.g. a piece of pillar next to a cliff etc. Except for seeing the sights here, you can also swim here or undertake a hike to the lighthouse
