High-lying lake Ala Köl (also known as Ala-Kul) (3 520 m asl) is the largest tourist attraction around the town Karakol. But its beautiful color and the surrounding glacier-covered mountains deserve it. Above the lake leads the hiking trail connecting the valley of Karakol and Arashan.
