There are, of course, many national holidays in Peru + many local ones. For travelers, it is one of the most interesting winter solstice, when Inti Raymi Semana Santa is celebrated: Easter. A very colorful holiday with the processions of the crucified Jesus. Inti Raymi (Fiesta Inca del Sol): a very colorful festival, taking place not only in Cuzco on June 24 Festividad de San Pedro y San Pablo: the big festivities of these patrons take place on June 29 Fiesta de la Independencia Nacional: 28.-29. July. The military parades Festividad de Santa Rosa de Lima: a holiday held in Lima on August 30 with the Catholic procession Día de Todos los Santos: (or also Día de los Muertos) – All Saints' Day (Dušičky) takes place on the first of November. The cemeteries are besieged and many candles are lit everywhere during the night. Baked typical pastries. Día de la Inmaculada Concepción: is a Catholic holiday that takes place on December 8. A procession with the Virgin Mary Navidad takes to the streets: Christmas (December 25)
