Festivals and Celebrations

Petr Liška Wrote 02.02.2013:

Folklore festivities: Most of the most interesting events take place in Slovakia. The most famous of these is the Ride of the Kings in Vlčnov, which is also under the auspices of UNESCO. Beer festivals: almost every brewery has its own „festival“, where the consumption of beer is associated with concerts or competitions.

Ceremonies and traditions

Petr Liška Wrote 02.02.2013:

Christmas markets: it is interesting for tourists to visit the Christmas markets in December, which are in every major city. There is always a decorated Christmas tree in the square and typical drinks and food are sold in the surrounding stalls. Of course, the bigger the city, the bigger the markets. Probably the most famous are the Easter markets on Old Town Square in Prague: the Easter markets are a smaller equivalent of the Christmas markets. Changing of the guard at Prague Castle: At individual sites, there is a change every hour from 7 to 18 (in winter) or 20 (in summer)
