The Wimbachklamm gorge is accessible from Ramsau bei Berchtesgaden. It is open from 1 May to 1 November from 7 am to 7 pm The starting point is the car park at Wimbachbrucke (634 m above sea level). The journey from the car park to the gorge takes about 20 minutes. Entry tokens can be purchased at a vending machine located about 300 meters before entering the gorge at a pleasant pub with a homemade cheese and souvenir shop. Entry is only one way! The gorge is very short, measuring only 200 m, but very nice.

It is not for nothing that this walk through the gorge is ranked among the most beautiful in Bavaria. You will probably meet a lot of people here, but if you go early in the morning, not only will the sun's rays shine beautifully into it, but you will also have space for photos.

It is not worth rushing, because the gorge is quite short and a quick walk would take you in 10 minutes.

the valley is beautifully green, a river flows through it, through whose wide (dry) riverbed you pass in places and the whole splendor is colored by white limestone massifs under the supervision of Watzmann
