A castle at the very end of Arabia
At the very eastern end of the Arabian Peninsula, on the promontory of Ras al Hadd, you will find a castle in the town of the same name, which is practically unvisited by tourists with period decorations. Definitely worth a short visit
Entrance to Ras al Hadd Castle
The entrance to the castle is stylishly decorated with historic rifles
As in perhaps all Omani castles, the castle courtyard is just a deserted gravel
Period equipment of the castle
You will also find exhibitions of period things here
Free tour of the castle
Unlike in Europe, there are guided tours and all exhibits freely available – probably not really stolen here.
A walk along the walls
The walls and bastions are also freely accessible, so it is worth the climb just because of the view
The tower overlooks the surrounding relatively deserted landscape and a large lagoon
Ras al Had Castle is built in a classic square design. view of the entrance gate.
