Walk to the lakes in Wadi Ash Shab

The mouth of the Wadi Ash Shab valley spans the Muscat – Sur highway, so don't forget to go down. There is also a fairly large parking lot and food stalls

The first obstacle is right on the edge – a pond and a hiking trail on the other side. Sometimes someone tries to wade here, but it is more classic to pay the ferryman. you will immediately receive a ticket for the return route. Just be sure to ask when they will be here to get you back.

From the beginning, the path leads between the fields. The imposing walls of the canyon rise high above you – a super spectacle

The place is not just an attraction for tourists – the locals still live here as they did years ago. It is incredibly green for Omani conditions.

The gorge itself changes quite its character, once it is wide, full of pebbles, once it is quite narrow, just for a small river

One of the beautiful places along the way is at the first ponds (not yet swimming), when the way leads along a rock ledge

Here, too, you will find a mini pulpit directly above the water – a wonderful place

There is no point in hurrying at all, because some corners here are really magical

The journey through the gorges is not so difficult – families with small children also come here – you just have to be careful in some places not to fall down from the rock ledge.

After about half an hour of walking you are at the other pond, even here you should not swim according to the signs.

This is followed by a passage with boulders, where you do not always hit the most optimal path. Here you need to follow the most paved footpath more

The Ash Shab gorge is really beautiful and it is a place where you will definitely want to return once again in time

After less than an hour, you are finally at the bathing place!

The whole bathing passage is quite large – bathing ponds alternate places where the water is knee-deep.
