Swimming in Wadi Bani Khalid

From the main road No. 23, you will have almost 30 kilometers through the mountains and mines before reaching the large parking lot at the end of the asphalt road. From here, a wide path initially leads into the interior of the valley

The first bathing lake is only a few hundred meters along the irrigation canal Fajal along a pleasant path through the oasis

The first lake is not much for swimming yet. It is probably dry even in the high summer. Even so, it is already a preparation for the beauty that awaits us here

The second lake with a restaurant on the horizon

Early in the morning it's the best – not a foot and beautiful light. Plus, you're in Oman, so it's nice to swim here at any time of the day. You will definitely not be cold. There is even a small island with a gazebo

When you stop enjoying these scenic views, it's time to go a little further for the best swimming here

The lake ends with a small gorge over which a bridge is built – another nice view

In my opinion, the best swimming is in the gorge. You can swim more than a hundred meters in a beautiful riverbed with views from above.

Just climb up a bit and you have this whole beautiful location in the palm of your hand. If you don't just want to relax and swim, there are two more tours on offer – a trip through the gorge to the bat cave or a climb to the top of Jebel al Flahwil. Both can only be recommended
