Nice cliffs on the island of the Arabian Peninsula
If you are traveling by sea on the eastern tip of Oman, be sure to make a stop at the small Ras Al Khabbah Peninsula, where you can see the beautiful cliffs. You will also find camping places here, as it is a popular picnic place for locals as well
Road through a semi-desert landscape to the south
The road from Ras Al Hadd to the south leads through a flat semi-desert landscape, where the signs „watch out for camels“ are not at all out of the question
On the peninsula
Just before the town of Al Khabbah, turn left at the piste and after a few meters you are at the first lookout
Hardly accessible beach
Directly below us is a beautiful but difficult to access beach. We didn't notice any footpaths down.
Viewpoint at the end of the peninsula
It pays to drive / connect another about 750 meters to the very end of the peninsula, where there are other nice cliffs
Omani "Preikestolen"
You will also find a small version of the Norwegian Preikestolen
Cliffs to the south
Even to the south, the cliffs stretch hundreds of meters away
Endless beach
To the south of the town, the plain and the road descends directly to the sea, where there is an „endless“ sandy beach – an ideal place to stop and swim in complete privacy.
