Wahiba Sands Castle
If you have the route on the Omani road No. 35 leading to the eastern edge of the great sandy desert Wahiba Sands, be sure to make a short stop in the town of Jalan Bani Bu Ali. There is a beautifully restored castle with great views of the surrounding oasis.
In front of the castle
As with most Omani castles, Jalan Bani Bu Ali Castle is built on a plain. There are plenty of parking spaces. A typical citadel is typical for this castle.
Behind the walls
After passing through the walls, there is a wide, gravel-filled courtyard and the core of the castle in the form of a citadel.
Historically equipped room
In the citadel you will also find several historically equipped rooms. Unlike European castles, you can move freely here without a guide
In the citadel
Omani castles look fabulous
Ascents to prospects
If you want to get to the observation decks, you have to overcome an interesting ascent from time to time
View from the castle tower
However, climbing the ladders is worth it here – the view of the surrounding oasis and the mountains on the horizon is worth it!
