Hike to Rana and Oblík

We set off in the direction of the river Ohře. Just in front of it is a nice building of a baroque hospital. The surrounding blocks of flats are no longer so nice.

You will cross the Ohře Bridge over the Veslařů Bridge and get out of Louny. Fishermen are sometimes blessed here.

This is followed by a more boring passage along the blue tourist road to Lenešice, about 4 km, with an occasional view of Oblík. There is a fairly large pond in Lenešice.

After an hour we finally leave civilization and from the dirt road we have a beautiful view of both our first destination Rana and Oblík. which looks really monumental.

Although it doesn't seem like it, it will take you another half an hour to get to your own hill via Lenešický Chlum. The landscape is really arid and it is not surprising that thermophilic vegetation thrives here.

You can make such a miniature ridge on Raná. Looking back, you see what you've already missed. In the background you can see the Lenešický pond and the forested Lenešický chlum.

Probably the least picturesque view from the top is towards the Počerady power plant in the direction of Most.

To the north is a beautiful hill – Mila, the highest in the vicinity of Louny. If you continue along the blue hiking trail, you can conquer this peak. The massive wall of the Ore Mountains can be seen completely on the horizon.

There is no point in rushing from the top of Raná. Here you can enjoy beautiful views of Oblík and paragliders for long minutes. It is nice to see from here the continuation of our journey from the village of Raná to the main road and then directly along the agricultural road to Oblík.

From Raná you will come to the village of the same name, where you can also refresh yourself not only with beer. Then cross the busy Louny – Most islet and you can enjoy the picturesque landscape.

It is more than an hour's walk from Raná and almost 300 meters high to Oblík. However, the views from the top are really beautiful.

Right next to Oblík are two other smaller peaks Srdov (482 m above sea level) and Brník (471 m above sea level), also scenic. The horizon is full of other peaks of the Bohemian Central Mountains.

It is almost eight kilometers from Oblík back to Louny. You will almost always have the view in view.

The last nice place on this tour is Dobroměřický pond. Then the hiking trail leads only along the road
