Ascent to Bořeň

On the very edge of the Bohemian Central Mountains is a rocky hill called Bořeň by his little brother – the very famous Devil's Tower is located in the USA. It is the largest structure of its kind in Europe

One enjoys a huge view here, both here in the Ore Mountains and in the rest of the country

You really meet a minimum of people here. At the same time, it is such an important natural monument.

If you go from the very bottom of this mountain, the ascent is really challenging

Bořeň, some hear for the first time others have been on it or heard about it. It is located on the very edge of the Bohemian Central Mountains and is thus isolated from the mountains themselves in this region. It adds to the magic of discovery. It is located near the village Bílina. What makes it so unique? This is because its surface bell tower with an elevation gain of 300 meters is the same as its more famous brother, Devil's Tower, which is located in the USA in the state of Wyoming. It is also the most rocky massif in the Czech Republic. The road to it is really rocky and the easiest way is waiting for Chata pod Bořeněm, where I had a snack and set off. From here, the hill turns into one rock and the ascent takes about 45 minutes. I thought I'd run it like nothing, but I really gasped. On the way up, the first views begin to appear and at the very top it is really a spectacle where you can relax. I am very glad that I had the opportunity to perform on our seventh wonder of the world. I evaluate it from my own point of view.
