The best route from Jičín to Prachovské skal culminates in an ascent to the top of Přivýšina (464 m above sea level). Here we will describe the hike from Brad to the entrance to Prachovské skal.

Beginning of the tour

If you have the crossing of Přivýšina as part of the Bohemian Paradise march from Jičín to Turnov, you will come here on your own. However, many visitors come here with children as part of a short trip and can comfortably park directly under the top of Brada Hill, go to the lookout, visit Rumcajs Cave, conquer Přivýšina and back.

Rumcajs Cave

The first stop from Brad to Přivýšina is the nice Rumcajs Cave. therefore, children will appreciate it the most.

View of Tábor

From Rumcajs Cave you are after a few tens of meters walk in a small saddle between the hills, where there is a crossroads of hiking trails. Yellow leads to Jinoliký rybníky, blue goes to Příšný (it is not very interesting, more suitable for runners than for tourists). We will go up the green up the hill. About halfway up the ascent is a large clearing from where there is a nice view of Tábor and in good weather also of Sněžka in the Giant Mountains.

Privýšina - The top rock

After about twenty minutes from Brad, you stand under the top rock. There used to be a small ladder, at the beginning of the climb that helped the children, now you have to climb a little. The hiking trail itself goes under the peak.

View of Jičín from Přivýšina

From Přivýšina you have a view only to the Jičín basin. You really have Jicin in the palm of your hand.

View of Veliš

The previously very limited view of Veliš opened nicely thanks to the felling of mature trees.

Pod Přívýšinou

From the top of the hill you can continue directly through the rock gap or return to the hiking trail and walk under this rock castle. The views on it are interesting.

Trail under Privýšina

Especially for locals who come here often, deforestation is a big change. The massif literally came to light after several decades.

Top abbreviation

If you do not want to go back from the top and go around the whole top, climb a small slurry and after a small ladder and after another few meters you are back on the marked path

Rock formations on the ridge

The path leads practically along the ridge and slowly descends. You will see a few more interesting rock formations here, of course not as important as in the adjacent Prahcovské rocks.

Road through the woods

The road descends between the rocks to another crossroads of hiking trails at a large new log cabin. From here it is only a few hundred meters to enter the Prachovské rocks
