Monte Cinto 2,706 m above sea level (Corsican Monte Cintu) is the highest mountain on the island of Corsica, in France. It is located in the Haute-Corse department between the Asco valley in the north and the Golo valley in the south. On the south side of the mountain is the mountain lake Lac Cinto.

Monte Cinto

We start from the Lozzi campsite 1040 m above sea level. A challenging all-day hike awaits us with a total elevation gain of almost 1700 m above sea level. After visiting the top of Monte Cinto 2706 m above sea level, we take a sightseeing tour and so on we continue to the lake Lac du Cinto and from there we descend back to the camp Lozzi. The whole tour took us 12 hours, but I believe that more capable individuals can handle it faster :-)

Lozzi 1040 m

In the evening we set up tents at the Lozzi camp, where our ascent will begin.
