At the very southeastern tip of Sardinia you will find the resort of Villasimius. South of it, on a small peninsula you will find a number of beautiful beaches with picturesque rocks. It is one of the most famous swimming places in Sardinia

Rock formations between beaches

If you want to walk between the individual beaches, you will come across a number of beautiful rock formations. Some are literally natural sea pools designed for swimming just for you, other are sightseeing places

View of the beach of Simius

Further north is the largest beach spiaggia di Simius more than a kilometer long. But there are also the most people, so it is not so attractive for some travelers

Lake Stagno Notteri

The salt lake Stagno Notteri, in which there are many flamingos, is also interesting. The Sardinian mountains can be seen across the lake

Porto Giuncu beach

Further south is another beach – Porto Giuncu. A watchtower rises above it. It is possible to reach it on a footpath between the makchia

Panorama from the hillside

It is definitely worth climbing at least a little, because you will have a really beautiful view of Villasimius

Cala Burroni

Further south you can reach the bay of Cala Burroni. But it's quite rocky here, so it can't be compared to beautiful swimming further north
