In the Hunza Valley there are basically only two important monuments of the old fortress Altit and Baltit. You will also see old villages with Tibetan-looking architecture.

- Karimabad: This town in central Hunza valley is an experience in itself. Directly above the town rises a huge wall of Ultar Sar (7388 m asl), which is evoking unsuccessful photomontage due to its unrealistic monumentality, especially in the moonlight. Interesting are also the local „mud“ houses.
