With its 226 km of length, Sázava is the fifth longest river in the Czech Republic (along the Vltava, Labe, Morava and Ohře). The river is called Sázava after leaving the Great Dářko dam. The spring stream itself is the Stružný brook. It is the main river of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. Paddlers are most popular, but hikers will find their way here, especially in the very picturesque section between Kamenný Přívoz and Davle.
