Around Konvent pond
If you went for a trip to Zelena Hora (“the Green Mountain”) with a unique Church of St. John of Nepomuk or to the castle, you also can, if you have some time, walk around the educative trail leading around Konvent pond. You will not only have nice views of Zelena Hora, the monastery and castle buildings, but you'll be able to get acquainted with protected nature in the area around Strz stream, especially with peat bog meadows.
Church of St. John of Nepomuk
From the western shore of Konvent pond is nicely visible the Church of St. John of Nepomuk standing at the foot of Zelena Hora. But our trail leads along the eastern side of the pond, a few hundred meters along the road leading to the cemetery. If you set out for this short trip from the church, you do not need to get back along the stairs to the pond, but you can run down straight along one of the footpaths.
Former monastery
From the pond is a nice view of the former monastery and buildings of the castle. But nice photos can be taken here only in the morning.
Meadows at Cerny les (“the Black Forest”
The path then takes you into the woods and leads a large part of the way along the wooden laths over swampy surface. Along the way are educative signs, so you can also read about the local flora and fauna. Finally also appear local protected peat bog meadow.
Along Strz creek
The path then continues along Strz stream that is eventually crossed by the bridge and turns back. You will still see Zelena Hora through the branches several times.
Strz stream
The banks of Strz stream are heavily waterlogged and overgrown, so if there was not the trail on laths, the whole area would be virtually impassable.
Garden of Cistercian monastery
The path gradually rises over the pond and you will get in a while to open area adjacent to the monastery gardens. Along the way you get to the main road, where the circuit ends.
