Piz Palü (3,905m) is one of the most interesting mountains in the Bernina mountain range (just as high as, for example, the well-known Ortler). Especially its northern face furrowed by icefalls. With a little imagination it looks a bit like Lhotse in Nepal. This classic view of Piz Palü is from the Diavolezza cable car station. In terms of height, it is the seventh highest mountain in this mountain range.
