One of the simplest three-thousanders in the Dolomites is Piz Boé, the highest peak of a large massif. The classic way to its top is from the nice Passo Pordoi (2239 m), from where some still help themselves by cable car to the top of Sass Pordoi (2950 m), which is on the edge of the massif. From Piz Boé it is a two and a half kilometer lunar landscape.
