The seat of the British Queen
Buckingham Palace is the official London residence of the British monarch, currently Queen Elizabeth II. However, the palace is also a venue for events of state importance or events organized by the court. Last but not least, the Heads of State are officially welcomed here. Visitors often come here to see the so-called queen in the windows or changing guards. The palace is in London's Westminster, at the end of The Mall, which is closed on Sundays, public holidays and ceremonies.
