Most photogenic places and sceneries

Petr Liška Wrote 27.01.2013:

The most photogenic places: Machu Picchu is one of the most photographed places in the world. The Huayhuash Mountains are also amazingly photogenic. The most photogenic scenery: In general, the photos from Lake Titicaca with reed boats and mountains in the background are very nice. Then there are very nice compositions of mountains and shaggy llamas.

People photoshoot

Petr Liška Wrote 27.01.2013:

For most travelers, the original inhabitants are very interesting, especially when they are still dressed in traditional, beautifully colored costumes. Willingness to take pictures: Indians, unlike other ethnic groups, are generally reluctant to take pictures. So many photographers solve it with a large zoom, ie. shooting from a distance. However, it depends on your morale whether you use this and do not ask in advance. At festivals and fiestas, when everything is very colorful, photography is much easier.

How to speak here

Petr Liška Wrote 27.01.2013:

Official language: Spanish, Aymara, Quechua Other languages: Dozens of Native American languages from the Amazon. World languages: Spanish is essential for travelers (basics are enough), even if you don't even have to speak it in the countryside or in more remote places. You speak English only occasionally, although more than, for example, in neighboring Bolivia. Font: It is written in Latin here.

Population

Petr Liška Wrote 27.01.2013:

Nation: Less than half of Peru's population is native to India. Most are Ajmars and Quechua. In the deep Amazon, there are still so-called „non-contact tribes“, ie groups of indigenous peoples who have not yet come into contact with modern civilization. The Mashco-Piro group, for example, is well known. The rest are half-breeds and descendants of Europeans

Religion

Petr Liška Wrote 27.01.2013:

Almost all the inhabitants are Christians. However, there are many original Native American traditions and rituals that have blended into Christianity over the centuries.
