Belize (formerly called British Honduras) is a small developing country situated on the eastern coast of the Caribbean Sea in Central America bordering with Guatemala and Mexico. Belize boasts the second largest barrier reef in the world – it is about 280 km long and offers tourists amazing opportunities for snorkeling and diving. Furthermore, there are a number of Mayan ruins, lovely natural scenery and nice swimming on the islands. Tourist attractions are mainly the islands (cayes).
