Southwest Lefkada is exactly the area why tourists like to ride it. Absolutely amazing beaches under impressive snow-white cliffs with the bluest water. During this trip we will visit the most famous car-accessible beach Porto Katsiki and not only it.
To the very southwestern end of the island
We start the trip by driving to the very end of the island of Lefkada – to Cape Lefkas, where there is a nice lighthouse and a view from the island. From here we drive back (about 15 kilometers) to the famous Porto Katsiki, where it is interesting in the morning as the sun gradually cuts the shadow cast by the cliff to the beach

A trip to the most visited beach in Lefkada
Porto Katsiki beach is a Lefkada concept. Beautiful beach with absolutely magical water color under an impressive white cliff. Due to the local conditions, a decent road leads here and there are plenty of opportunities for parking. However, the observation bridge is in a desolate state after the earthquake and it takes a little courage to go for it – but the views are worth it. After a beautiful swim in Porto Katsiki, we continue a little further north. Be sure to stop by the tavern located directly on the cliff with amazing views of Egremni beach. We drive 10 kilometers north and in the village of Athani we descend again to the sea to the beach of Gialos. It has beautiful surroundings, but swimming alone due to larger boulders in the water is not as pleasant as in Porto Katsiki

A little different Lafkada
Gialos Beach is one of the famous beaches of Lefkada on the west side of the island. You can get here on a newly renovated road with a few bends. The beach is situated in a desolate landscape and looks a little different than other beaches on this side of the island.
