Karpacz is the largest tourist center on the Polish side of the Giant Mountains. It is a great starting point for a number of nice hikes. It's worth a visit on its own. You will find several nice churches, old mountain cottages and a busy main tourist street. There is still a lot of construction going on here, too, and new accommodation capacities are being created.

The Karpacz center is located along the busy street Konstytucji 3 Maja. Here you will find the most restaurants, souvenir stands and local cheese sellers.
