The city of Split was founded in the 3rd century by the Roman emperor Diocletian, who left Salona and had Diocletian's palace built here. It is now listed in UNESCO. It is one of the main destinations of every tourist. It is also possible to visit the underground of Split or the very famous Riva embankment. It is also possible to swim on the beaches.
