Large sandstone cave behind Sloup Castle
If you go west from the Sloup rock castle to the blue and then the yellow tourist sign, you will get to an area called Gypsy Mine. It is a gorge along the Dobranovské brook, which is lined with sandstone rocks with several small overhangs and caves.
Large gypsy cave
After about one kilometer of walking, you will come across the dominant feature of the valley – a huge natural rock overhang, called the Great Gypsy Cave. This cave is for the most part of natural origin, however, it was partially modified by mowing. It is a massive rock overhang, which has a 15 m wide and more than 3 meters high entrance portal. The cave reaches a depth of about 30 m.
Campground
This place, together with the nearby Little Gypsy Cave, is still occasionally used by campers today.
