There are two marked hiking trails on the island of Ko Adang – one is the ascent to the top of Chado Cliff (the so-called viewpoint) and the other is the Jungle Trail to the Pirate Waterfall. The road leads undisturbed through the jungle, where the only rise to civilization are the hoses running along the trail (they take water from the stream) for the only local resort. The path is approximately 3/4 of a kilometer. Then, as a bonus, you can continue along the coast to the second beach.

Start of route

The beginning of the route to the Pirate Waterfall is quite inconspicuous, and if you didn't know that the route starts somewhere here, you could easily miss it. The trail starts at the very western end of the beach at the only resort on the island.

Thai jungle

You will definitely be glad to follow the jungle path, because otherwise it would be quite difficult to walk through the forest. There are a lot of vines and the vegetation is relatively dense. As a bonus, there are lonely rocks

Beautiful trees in the jungle

Along the hiking trail, there are also several truly mature and beautiful forest trees

Creepers

Vines are everywhere and sometimes they make quite curious shapes

Pirate waterfall

After about 25 minutes of leisurely walking, we are finally at the main destination of the walk – the Pirátský waterfall. During the dry season, there is not much water here, but you can still swim and refresh yourself in the lake.

View from the rock

In the dry season, it is not a problem to climb the rock and continue along the stream.

Onward to the jungle

You can continue along the stream for a while and the hoses lead further into the jungle.

Road to the main beach

From Pirátské vodopád, we return the same way back to the crossroads, where we join the path through the jungle towards the Main beach. That's about a kilometer and a half. There are also ropes for holding on in a few places on the trail, but they are not really needed.
