Pattaya Beach is undoubtedly the busiest beach on the picturesque island of Ko Lipe. It is most likely the first place you will see on Ko Lipe. It is both the place where all ferries arrive and the starting point for boat trips. The island's busiest street – Walking Street Ko Lipe also opens almost in the middle. So, if you want to stay on Pattaya Beach and have at least a little peace, be sure to choose places as far as possible from the center of the beach.

At low tide, you can see that in the middle of the beach there are relatively many remains of corals in the sand. From this point of view, for example, Sunrise beach is much better off.

Connection to Langkawi

During the day, the busiest time is the arrival and departure of the ferry to Malaysia's Langkawi. In the middle of the beach there is a small customs building and a table with collectors for the Tarutao National Park (which, of course, is just a waste of money on Ko Lipe, because it doesn't exactly look like a protected area). Check-in itself is lengthy and not very ergonomic. Anyway, it is a popular route among travelers.

Road to the west part of Pattaya beach

Just walk 150–200 meters westward and you will reach an area where it is significantly calmer and the beach is more suitable for swimming. There is a wide range of accommodation here.

West end of Pattaya Beach

At the western end is a small promontory with accommodation at vantage points. There is also a footpath to the nearby beautiful Sanom beach.

Retrospect

Looking back, you will see such a densely green peninsula. But it is inaccessible – the soldiers have a small base here.

East end of Pattaya Beach

If you turn around and walk the entire beach to the other side, you will reach the eastern end, where there are several boulders acting as small lookouts. On the other hand, you'd better not take photos, because the military base is already a few meters away. This eastern end is even less busy than the western end.

Nightlife in Pattaya

Pattaya is the only beach on Ko Lipe where it really comes alive even in the evening. Restaurants, bars, fire shows..
