Hike through Liščí hora to Černý Důl

Chalupa Na Rozcestí, thanks to its tactical location, has no shortage of visitors outside the season, which is the end of March, when I went on this tour. At this time, you will come across more and more cross-country skiers than hikers.

From Chalupa Na Rozcestí there is a really impressive view of the highest mountain in the Czech Republic – Sněžka

From the cottage Na Rozcestí we set off along the red tourist path towards Liščí hřeben. After a few tens of meters, a beautiful panoramic view of the highest mountains of the Czech Republic opens up to us.

After a while you will go to the forest and a more boring two kilometers await you. The path leads only a short distance from the top of Liščí hora (1,363 m above sea level), the top of which is also overgrown. Finally, however, you will come to a meadow, where you are rewarded with a beautiful view of Montenegro, or the entire Eastern Giant Mountains. You can still really enjoy the amazing view of Sněžka, because it will gradually disappear from the view.

After about a kilometer of pleasant descent, you will reach another beautiful place with a wide view – Liščí louka.

After about 15 minutes from Liščí louka you will reach the crossroads U lesní boudy. Frequent crossroads for those who do business from Pec pod Sněžkou. However, we will continue along the red road to Hrnčířské boudy

Looking back from Hrnčířské buds, it is beautiful to see Liščí hora and cottages on Liščí louka below it.

From Hrnčířské buds you will descend through Černý dol along the Čistá river. Down to the town of Černý důl it is still about 5 km and descend 500 altitude meters.

After a half-hour descent, you finally come out of the forest and instead of winter and snow you are back in the spring landscape

From the hunting lodge, the road descends into an inhabited landscape with lots of cottages and chalets. Many of them are for rent. It will take a while before you get back to the square in Černý Důl.
