The beautiful route from Výrovka to Luční Bouda is part of many circuits in the Giant Mountains. Here you will see and experience several of the best in the Czech Republic. The Blue Saddle (1,509m) itself is the highest mountain saddle in the Czech Republic, so it is very popular not only among tourists but also among cyclists. The greatest interest of visitors is always in the spring, after the path to Luční bouda is carved in the snow drift. The length of this nice stretch is 2.5 km

Mountain cottage Výrovka

Our route through the Blue Saddle begins at the Výrovka mountain hut. You can come here from many directions – from Špindlerův Mlýna, Peca pod Sněžkou or from the cottage at Rozcestí. It's simply an important intersection where you can get refreshments or even stay. Another possible accommodation nearby is, for example, the well-known Dvorská bouda .

Just a few hundred meters behind Výrovka, there is a nice view in the western direction of Medvědín and Kozí hřbety. Be sure to go here, because there will be no other similar view on this route.

Asphalt to Modrý sedlo

An asphalt road leads all the way to Luční bouda, hence its popularity among cyclists. It rises along the slopes of Luční hora, the second highest mountain in the Czech Republic

Milled path

We get to the passage, which tends to be the most attractive around mid-May /it always depends on each year/. The tiller covers the road all the way to Luční bouda and you enjoy the incredible drifts.

At Luční bouda you can stay , have refreshments including local beer. The Bílá Labe also originates a short distance from here, which still flows in the form of a stream around the cottage. There is also a photogenic pond here.
