Ascent to Czech tundra
One of very nice circular hikes starting in Spindleruv Mlyn leads over Kozi hrbety (lit. “Goats ridges”) to the tundric plain near Lucni bouda with view of the highest mountain in the Czech Republic – Snežka. From there you ascend into the pass Modre sedlo (lit. “Blue pass”) (1 510 m asl) with a beautiful view of the western part of the Giant Mountains (“Krkonoše”) and its foothills (“Podkrkonoší”). At the hut Výrovka you will start to descend through Dlouhý důl (lit. “Long mine”) into Svaty Petr (lit. “St. Peter”) and back to Spindleruv Mlyn.
