Engadin is a region in eastern Switzerland. The Engadine is formed by the Inn River Valley. The valley is characterized by a large number of lakes, which were formed by the deposition of material and the resulting dam of the river. The most famous place in the Engadine is the resort of St. Moritz.

Exit at Furtschellas La Chudera

Our trip began with a trip by cable car to the station Furtschellas La Chudera to a height of 2312 m above sea level. taste local specialties. We chose the path around the lakes.

Mountain peaks

We went to the platform with the ponds. The weather is not too good for us, so the peaks of Grialetsch and Furtschellas remain hidden in the clouds. But we already see the first small lake.

Pond in the rain

The water in the ponds is crystal clear, so the view of the lake is beautiful even in bad weather. If it wasn't so cold, it would almost be tempting to refresh.

The last lake

We have reached the place from where our path turns back to the cable car. There is a mountain hut Rabgiusa at an altitude of 2444 m

Waterfalls

We walked slightly to see the two waterfalls we saw from a distance. Unfortunately, it was not possible to reach them because the terrain was very waterlogged.

We have completed our journey around the lakes and are now descending back into the valley. We returned to the places from where there is a beautiful view of the lakes of the Inn River.

Flora

Alps in summer, it is a variety of colors and shapes. Among the predominant yellow flowers, blue gentian stands out beautifully.

Lej da Silvaplauna

In a short time you can see the second lake Lej da Silvapluna. Its blue color is magical.

A place to meditate

We came to the lookout. The view of the place itself looks romantic and invites you to sit. The view of Lej da Segl and the opposite mountain peaks hidden in the clouds is worth it.

View of the glacial valley

The glacial valley with the Fedacla river, which flows from the mountain glacier to Piz Tremoggia, gives the impression of peace and quiet.

By the lake

After descending into the valley, we have a short walk to Lake Lej da Silvaplauna. Although the weather has still not improved much, the sun is trying to illuminate the surrounding mountain peaks.
