A walk around the Crap da Sass castle
Beautiful castle under Corvatschen
The Surlej mountain resort has two attractions – on the one hand, the cable car to the Corvatsch mountain and also the Crap da Sass castle standing alone on the shore of Lake Silvaplana. You can take a number of walks around the castle – either around the lake or on a shorter hike to the waterfall.

From the small parking lot, we head towards the castle. Along the way we have a nice view of the town of Silvaplana and the peak of Piz Polaschin (3013 m)

View of Crap da Sass
The castle is original in that it does not stand on some high hill, but basically right by the lake. There are no other buildings around it, so its picturesqueness really stands out.
A small beach by the lake
You can continue for kilometers and kilometers along the eastern shore of the lake – an ideal place for cycling. Or you can go back, cross the bridge and look at the castle from the other side. There is also a small beach here, where you can possibly swim.

Now we continue along the western shore of the lake with a view of Piz Corvatsch itself. Here the bike path is really full of hikers, runners and hikers. A beautiful place for sports.
