Wandering through the four passes between Switzerland and Italy – Pas de Chevaux (2716 m asl) – Col de Chevaux (Col du Bastillon, 2754 m asl) – Fenêtre de Ferret (2698 m asl) – Col du Grand-Saint-Bernard (2473 m asl) ), with views of Grand Combin and Mt. Vélan on one side and the Mt. Blancu (Mt. Blanc – Grandes Jorasses – Aiquille de Triolet – Mt. Dolent) on the other side. Starting and finishing point – Hospice St. Bernard.

We park at the hospice and set off along the road from Lago del Gran San Bernardo in the direction of Switzerland, about 200 meters slightly down. The lake overlooks the Mont Fourchon massif (2902 m above sea level) and the Pain de Sucre canine (2900 m above sea level).

We ascend along a marked path through rocky terrain to the Pas des Chevaux to a height of 2716 m above sea level. The Grand Combin massif (4,314 m above sea level) rises in the distance.

We continue through the Combe de Drône and climb to the Col de Chevaux pass (2,754 m above sea level) / former Col du Bastillon /.
