A walk around the Castle Pond in Lednice

The beginning and end of the circuit is at the Moorish waterworks, or at the bridge over the Castle Dyje. In addition, there is also the beginning of horse-drawn carriage rides and the Zámek boat dock. The former hydroelectric power plant also has refreshments

We go for a walk clockwise. Only after a few tens of meters there is a beautiful view not only of the castle, but also of the Minaret in the distance on the other side

The minaret is the biggest attraction of this circuit and it has a view from many places. The first person here is always surprised at how big he is when he sees him up close

We will cross the bridge to Grott Island with further views. An ideal walk also for those who like beautiful trees.

The biggest attraction on Grott Island is an imitation of an aqueduct leading from the artificial cave Peklo

The comfortable path continues over two more bridges and one small island closer and closer to the minaret, the silhouette of which arrives in the castle pond

Finally, we are at the main goal of this walk – the minaret Lednice. This beautiful building 60 meters high serves as a lookout (it is not a church building). It is built in a fairytale Moorish style. It is definitely worth paying the entrance fee and climbing 302 steps to the top

If you ascend to the upper gallery, a wide view will open up both around the Castle Pond to the castle and the Pálava Ridge.

The way back along the eastern shore of the pond is a bit shorter, but it has a similar character. Among the interesting places here is, for example, a wooden bridge. From there is another nice view of the minaret
