A walk through the Niva Dyje nature park
Probably the second most popular walk from Lednice, after visiting the minaret, is a walk to Jan's castle – a romantic ruin. Along the way you will find a picturesque landscape full of solitary oaks. On the way back you will be able to see another local monument – the Lednice Hunting Lodge. The whole circuit is only about 6 km, so ideal for families with children, or as part of a larger tour around Lednice
Landscape of the Niva Dyje nature park
We set off on the circuit along a green tourist trail leading directly from the center of Lednice. If you have previously visited the castle or in the castle park by the minaret, you will join this circuit at the Moorish waterworks / boat dock. Beautiful views of solitary oak trees await you right at the beginning
Picturesque road to Jan's castle
The road is absolutely comfortable, just count on a larger number of cyclists, of whom there are more than hikers. After all, she absolutely encourages the landscape to do so.
At Jan's castle
After crossing the meadows you will come to a ditch with a monument to a drowned child and then just a short walk through the forest and you are at Jan's Castle (after two kilometers from the boat dock) lying at the bend of the Old Dyje
Jan's castle
Jan's Castle was exhibited as a romantic ruin and it is the peak of this circuit. There are two snacks, so ideal for autumn and tasting burčák
Hunting lodge
Not far from Jan's Castle, we will leave the green tourist trail leading through the nature park to Břeclav and follow the yellow one back to Lednice (along the so-called Mill Road). The last attraction on this circuit is such a nice Hunting lodge with a wide view of the local meadows.
