City tour of St. Wenceslas
One of the most important places of pilgrimage in the Czech Republic – Stará Boleslav – stands right next to the Elbe. It is associated with the cult of St. Wenceslas. You will find everything interesting along the former main road, which forms the axis of the city. The most important monument and dominant feature of the city is undoubtedly the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary

If you take a tour of the town of Stará Boleslav from the south, you will first cross the bridge over the Elbe and then the natural monument Hluchov. Just before the beginning of the city is a pretty photogenic pond

We will walk along the main road and as the first monument we will come across a nice church of St. Wenceslas
Church of St. Clement
From the other side of the area you can see a significantly smaller church of St. Clement. There is also a statue of Pope Benedict

The only remnant of the city fortifications is the Old Boleslav Gate, which is the entrance to the city center

Chapel of Blessed Wonder
The historical center of Stará Boleslav ends at the chapel of Blessed Podiven. Right behind it is the bus station (lines running, for example, to Černý Most in Prague)

On the other hand, the church looks even more impressive. The afternoon visit came to me as a good time with a nice light on all the monument. The only downside is the busy road leading through the city
