Area Poľana
Impactful region
The Poľana Protected Landscape Area is known mainly for its ascent to the eponymous peak, in addition to which it can offer a large number of hiking trails and attractions such as the Bystré waterfall. The area is not only known for its preserved beech to fir-beech forests, but also for its specific type of scattered settlement, which completes the color of this part of Slovakia. The area is also known for the Podpoliaknsky folk festivals, which represent specific folklore from the Podpoľany area.
