Bánská Bystrica is a regional town with less than 80 thousand inhabitants. It is roughly the fifth or sixth largest city in Slovakia. Its historical center is around the SNP square. Especially its upper part is literally surrounded by monuments such as the Clock Tower, the Cathedral of St. Francis Xavier, the Barbican and the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary
