Mountains with the most glaciers in Austria
Ötztal Alps are among the most beautiful mountains in Austria. Mainly due to the massive glaciation (the largest in the entire Eastern Alps) and hundreds of threethousands peaks. Centre of the Austrian part of mountains are three long valleys Kaunertal, Pitztal and Oetztal,which is with its sixty seven kilometers in length the longest side valley in Austria. It is a paradise for tourists from early spring to autumn and for skiers in winter. Also the highest mountain in Tyrol – Wildspitze lies here. Picturesque villages, herds of cows and lots of waterfalls give Ötztal Alps unmistakable charm.
