Tyrol is a very mountainous Austrian federal state with the capital Innsbruck. It is actually just the northern part of the originally much larger Tyrol (the southern part now belongs to Italy). Here you will find several important alpine mountains such as the Ötztal, Stubai and Zillertal Alps. Limestone mountains in the form of the Lechtal and Karwendal Alps also fall here. The axis of the territory is the valley of the river Inn (springing only in Switzerland). Tyrol is an ideal destination for lovers of mountain hiking, climbing and cycling. In winter, of course, there is a paradise for skiers
