The highest mountain in Austria for hikers
The Hochfeiler (3,510m above sea level), is located on the border between Italy and Austria. It is the highest peak of the Zillertal Alps, and at the same time is the highest Austrian mountain for hikers. Paradoxically, however, the ascent path leads from Italy. Mainly due to the fact that the glacier is no longer on the southern slope of the mountain.
