Traveler Itineraries
Classic Itineraries
Classic trips to the Hunza Valley begin in Karimabad, an interesting historic city. You will see the fortresses of Baltit and Altit, from which there are amazing views of the valley. Take a trip to the huge Lake Attabad, and if you feel like hiking, you can go hiking in the Uttar meadows.
Off Beaten Itineraries
Less visited routes lead to the very northern end of Pakistan to the Gojal region (still a bit separated from the rest of the country by the landslide lake Attabad). Only tourists transiting through the Khunjerab Pass to China usually go here. At the same time, there are beautiful jagged mountains in the area of the village of Passu and the monumental glacial slides of Batura. You can also head to the half-forgotten area of Shimsal, from where there are amazing treks through Karakoram. It is also worth going to other beautiful side valleys such as Naltar, Nagar or Chalt.
