Thanks to its top pyramid, Olperer (3,476 m) belongs to the iconic mountains in the Zillertal Alps. It is also the third highest mountain in the mountains after Hochfeiler (3,510 m) and Grosser Möseler (3,480 m). The most famous ascent route leads to it from the Schlegeisspeicher dam through the Olpererhütte.
